Former CropLife CEO Jay Vroom setting up ag consultancy Vroom Leigh Agricultureqrcode

Jay J. Vroom and Jamie L. Vroom have organized a new business venture, Vroom Leigh Agriculture, LLC, based in McLean, VA. The firm will specialize in strategic consulting services and investments in modern agriculture platforms and related technology sectors. 
 
The business partners bring decades of work engagement in US agriculture and farm production connections around the world. Jay just retired as President and CEO of CropLife America-the organization representing the U.S. crop protection and biotech sector. 
 
He served that organization for 30 years, and previously held leadership positions in other ag-oriented trade organizations including the National Fertilizer Solutions Association (now called the Ag Retailers Association), The Fertilizer Institute, and the Merchants Exchange of St. Louis. 
 
Earlier in her career Jamie served on the staff of the American Soybean Association and also worked in clothing retail sector for the May Company affiliate, The Hecht Company. She has recently become certified as a Master Gardener by the Virginia Cooperative Extension Service. 
 
Both Jay and Jamie Vroom are graduates of the University of Illinois, Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES) school. Both were raised on integrated crop and livestock farms in North Central Illinois and both remain actively engaged in those family farming operations which are recognized as "Century Farms" by the State of Illinois. 
 
Jay Vroom today is actively working with three consultancy groups -The Context Network (strategic global business consulting practice); DC Legislative and Regulatory Services (Washington government affairs practice); and FLM Harvest (communications and marketing practice). 
 
He also volunteers as a member of the National FFA Foundation Board of Trustees (and is the FFA individual giving chair for 2017-19); the Board of the Soil Health Institute; the Board of CropLife Foundation; and the National Wheat Foundation Board.
