Verdesian Life Sciences announced that NutriSphere-N Nitrogen Fertilizer Manager recently received regulatory approval in France. With the addition of the late-2017 registration of AVAIL Phosphorus Fertilizer Enhancer, French farmers can now enhance their fertilizer with key Nutrient Use Efficiency (NUE) technologies designed to help them do more with less.
“France has long been looked upon as an agricultural leader in Europe, and not just because of the number of acres farmed and the variety of crops produced. The approval of these technologies speaks to the progressive mindset toward agriculture that exists in France,” said Martin Brown, Managing Director, Europe and Africa, Verdesian Life Sciences. “The ability for French farmers to enhance their fertilizer with NutriSphere-N and AVAIL means that agriculture in France will continue to be produced in a manner that has the health of its crops, its water and its soil in mind.”
NutriSphere-N keeps more nitrogen (N) available for plant uptake and inhibits all three forms of N loss. This helps contribute to higher yield potential and can reduce the amount of nitrogen that winds up in surface or ground water through runoff and leaching. In more than 500 trials on 46 million acres, NutriSphere-N has shown a 3-to-1 return on fertilizer investment.
The patented polymer technology in AVAIL reduces the fixation of applied phosphorus (P), keeping more of it available for plant uptake. More available P can lead to rapid, early growth; healthier crops and stronger yield potential, and AVAIL technology has been proven to keep up to 45% more of applied phosphorus available to your plants regardless of source or timing.
“We are excited about our business continuing to expand globally; however, we are even more excited that growers in France now have these key NUE technologies in their arsenal,” said Kenneth Avery, CEO, Verdesian Life Sciences. “Nutrient stewardship and sustainable food production are global issues, and we firmly believe that NutriSphere-N and AVAIL are two of the best products in the world to help farmers feed a growing world – and in a thoughtful manner.
