On Friday 24th, the Minister of Agriculture of Brazil, Blairo Maggi, apologized for having released the information on 23rd that the provisional guardianship granted by the substitute federal judge Luciana Raquel T. de Moura, of the 7th Court of the Federal District, had been annulled. “My willingness to solve this issue is such that I ended up passing on the information that the injunction would have been revoked”, said Blairo Maggi in a Twitter post.

The appeal of the Federal Attorney General's Office (AGU) against the decision of Luciana Raquel T. de Moura has not been evaluated yet. The decision of this case is under the responsibility of the president of the Federal Regional Court, TRT-1, that is expected in next days, or maybe in few hours.

Meanwhile the agribusiness sector is deeply apprehensive with the next steps of this judicial battle, as products registration evaluations’ were suspended, and approved registrations shall be suspended by September 3rd, and as consequence all glyphosate, thiram and abamectin products can not be commercialized.

On the other hand the market is optimistic. AllierBrasil was contracted for a project that includes a glyphosate factory construction and product registration in Brazil. Currently it is seeking for suppliers of raw materials, equipment and potential interested companies. While manufacturing restrictions in China increase, prospects in Latin America open up.
