Certis Europe, Kumiai Chemical signed joint development agreement on herbicide EFFEEDA

Kumiai Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. has announced that it has signed an exclusive development and marketing agreement with Certis Europe B.V. to jointly develop Kumiai’s novel herbicide EFFEEDA® (fenquinotrione) for use on cereals and rice in Europe.
EFFEEDA® has high herbicidal effect against broadleaf weeds, including herbicide resistant weeds and has high safety for cereals and rice plants.
Kumiai Chemical has obtained the registration of EFFEEDA® for paddy this February in Japan and the full-scale sales is expected to begin from 2019.
Certis Europe once signed the agreement with Kumiai Chemical for the sales of fungicide benthiavalicarb-isopropyl in Europe. This time, the two companies will further strengthen their relationship through the joint development of EFFEEDA®.
