UPL on Friday posted 0.67 per cent year-on-year fall in consolidated profit at Rs 736 crore for the quarter ended March 31. It had posted a profit of Rs 741 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
However, total income of the company increased 4.91 per cent YoY to Rs 5,809 crore during the quarter under review against Rs 5,537 crore last year.
During the quarter, the company through its wholly-owned subsidiary increased stake in UPL Agromed Tarim to 100 per cent from 75.5 per cent. In addition, it acquired 100 per cent stake in Uniphos Malaysia and merged UPL Mauritius with UPL Corporation.
