Cytozyme Laboratories, Inc. has announced the recent opening of a Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise (WFOE) office in Beijing, China, to improve its business processes and meet the growing demands of consumers throughout the region.

Through the WFOE, Cytozyme is now able to function as an independent office in China with greater efficiency in operations, logistics and management. This business model enhancement also allows Cytozyme to have control of human resources and minimizes operational dependencies on third parties.

“We’re proud not only to continue our operations in this region, but also to enhance our ability to meet the needs of our channel partners and customers,” said Eric Baughman, CEO of Cytozyme. “The WFOE allows us to scale up in-market activities from a sales and support standpoint across all verticals of our business: agriculture, animal nutrition and aquaculture.”

The opening ceremony was held in Beijing on January 16, 2018, and included representatives from various partners and affiliates in the agricultural, animal nutrition and aquaculture industries. A U.S. team led by Eric Baughman also attended the event.

“The establishment of the WFOE signals a strong step forward for Cytozyme and demonstrates the company’s commitment to this important region, our local partners and an improved service model,” Baughman said.

Cytozyme’s proprietary solutions are the result of more than 40 years of research and field tests, focusing their patented MAC Technology on activating a plant’s metabolic pathways to improve photosynthesis, reduce abiotic stress and cultivate sustainable growing environments. The U.S.-based company has operated extensively in Europe and Asia markets, working with growers, governments, agronomists and scientists to develop naturally derived products for a variety of crops on each continent.
