DTN announced a partnership that kicks off at the National Farm Machinery Show with Agronomic Technology Corp (ATC), a Yara International Company and the leader in nitrogen modeling. Through the partnership, DTN, an independent source of insight and analysis, and decision-support solutions to customers worldwide in agriculture, energy, commodities and financial analytics, is providing access to ATC's N-Insight nitrogen diagnostic tool and Adapt-N nitrogen recommendation tool. ATC is incorporating DTN's localized weather station network into its industry-leading modeling platform.

Nitrogen management is essential for crop growth, farmer profitability and sustainability. Due to variable weather conditions and soil variations, it is difficult to determine how much nitrogen should be applied. DTN customers using N-Insight and Adapt-N will now receive the most proven, science-based, robust nitrogen modeling solutions for field alerts, diagnostics and recommendations.

"We are always looking for ways to provide additional actionable insights to our customers," said Karen Madden, senior vice president-energy and agriculture, DTN. "The partnership with ATC allows us to enhance our solutions with the industry's best nitrogen modeling solution to enable farmers to make smarter business decisions."

Adapt-N's proven nitrogen modeling accounts for weather variability, and has been shown to improve grower profit about an average of $30 per acre. Adapt-N was built starting in 2002, and has received broad validation, most recently by winning the global Tulane Nitrogen Reduction Challenge. By combining the DTN Ag weather station network with the industry-leading nitrogen model solutions, DTN customers will receive truly field-level assessment of their field's efficient nitrogen use.

"This partnership allows us to connect our best-in-class nitrogen management tools with DTN's industry-leading weather solutions," said Steven Sibulkin, who leads the Adapt-N Solution. "Our combined solutions will help farmers reduce the risk of nitrogen loss, achieve better yields and become more profitable."

Attendees are encouraged to stop by booth #2000 at the National Farm Machinery Show to learn more.
