AgroPages-US: Court buries Monsanto soybean patent, handing win to rival DowDuPont-Agricultural news

A federal appeals court on Friday upheld a ruling that gutted a Monsanto Co patent relating to genetically modified soybeans at the request of competitor DowDuPont Inc.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit affirmed a decision by the Patent Trial and Appeal Board that invalidated key claims in a Monsanto patent on a process for producing soybean seeds.
