Nihon Nohyaku has announced on December 26, 2017 the acquisition of 100% of the shares in the Colombian agrochemical company Adnicol.

According to Nihon Nohyaku, pesticide demand in the Andes and Central America region is about 140 billion yen, of which the pesticide demand of the Republic of Colombia is about 60 billion yen, and further growth of this market is worthy of expectation in the future.

Until now, Nihon Nohyaku has granted sales license rights to local sales companies in this region, and have been using the local technical staff to carry out the dissemination and market development activities.

Since 2010, the company has entrusted Adnicol to maintain and manage pesticide registration in the Republic of Colombia. In order to further strengthen and expand its business activities, Nihon Nohyaku decided to change the company name of its subsidiary Adnicol to Nihon Nohyaku Andica S.A.S.

The share acquisition will be completed in February 2018, and then Adnicol will be renamed to Nihon Nohyaku Andica S.A.S. The new company will start operate in March 2018 for agrochemical import/export, development, sales and marketing.

Looking ahead, Nihon Nohyaku will further expand its business by starting sales directly in the Republic of Colombia and centralizing sales, development and logistics in this region.
