MAI Notice regarding FY and Q4 2007 Results

Makhteshim Agan Industries announced today, January 10, 2008, that following commencement of analysis of its 2007 annual financial results it estimates, at this stage, that annual sales will amount to $2.070 - 2.090 billion compared with $1.779 billion in 2006, and that sales for the fourth quarter will amount to $465 - 485 million compared with $419 million in 2006.

The Company also estimates at this stage, that the 2007 annual net income will amount to $172-178 million compared with $84 million in 2006, and that net income for the fourth quarter is expected to amount to $14 – 20 million compared with a loss of $39 miilion in 2006. Regarding the one-time provisions and accounting adjustments in the amount of $55 million made by the Company in the fourth quarter of 2006, please see the Management Discussion and Analysis of March 12, 2007.
 
The abovementioned 2007 data are estimates, based on preliminary information at the Company's disposal, and such data has not yet been audited or reviewed by the Company’s auditors.  These estimates may change, due, amongst other things, to the processing and analysing by the Company of its financial information for the purpose of preparation of its 2007 annual financial statements, which are expected to be released in March 2008.
