AgroPages-ADAMA launches its new fungicide “Bangchao” for 24-Hour control of crop diseases in China-Agricultural news

On July 26, 2017, a product-launch ceremony for ADAMA’s new super-fungicide Bangchao (ingredients: benziothiazolinone 8% + dimethomorph 72%) was held in the vegetable-farming town of Shouguang, Shandong in China.

Bangchao is a patented product featuring fast-acting, systematic and reliable effects.

Patented Formula

Bangchao is a benziothiazolinone + dimethomorph mixture formulation WDG containing 8% benziothiazolinone and 72% dimethomorph. In contrast to a single use of benziothiazolinone or dimethomorph, Bangchao’s fungicide has a synergistic effect, which enables stronger efficacy, higher fungicidal properties and therefore the advantage of using lower dosages.

Fast-Acting

Bangchao quickly dries disease spot and prevents the formation of new infection, which effectively controls the spread of disease while also reducing both losses and costs for growers. Other fungicides currently available on the market are mostly protection-only products, which may not take effect fast enough. This allows Bangchao to prevail over most of its competitors.

Complementary Ingredients

Bangchao’s excellent formula can facilitate active ingredients to be absorbed deep into plant tissues which enables full control of disease and future protection of regenerated tissues.

Broad Spectrum + Special Efficacy

The maximum level of benziothiazolinone in China is 8% and the registered dosage can fully ensure control of bacterial disease, while dimethomorph is specially designed to control oomycetes fungi diseases. With its unique formula, Bangchao is much more effective against both oomycetes fungi diseases and bacterial diseases. The product also effectively controls mycomycetes fungi disease, and is particularly effective against the occurrence of multiple diseases.

Bangchao is currently registered for use on potatoes, specifically for the control of potato late blight. Given the celebrated effectiveness of the product ADAMA has been trying to apply the product to other crops, particularly ones which can suffer from cucumber bacterial angular leaf spot and grape downy mildew. Field results have already revealed Bangchao’s amazing ability to control cucumber bacterial angular leaf spot.
