IHARA debuts FUSÃO EC fungicide with unprecedented molecule against soybean rust and other diseases

Accompanying the progression of diseases and resistance to fungicides in Brazil, IHARA launches the FUSÃO EC, a product that has an unprecedented molecule against soybean rust and other diseases. A traditional company for crop protection solutions, IHARA developed the new fungicide with metominostrobin, an exclusive active ingredient that has never been used before in Brazil.

FUSÃO EC meets a need of the farmer, who has less and less options for disease control due to the development of fungi resistant to existing active principles. "Methominostrobin is a novel strobilurin, and it comes in a scenario where the resistance of soybean rust to fungicides in this group is already established. Therefore, its superior performance in controlling this disease should be maintained over time", explains the manager of IHARA Fungicides, Luis Demant.
 
The field results and the FUSÃO EC register go well beyond soybean rust. The product is indicated for the control of fungi in corn, wheat, beans, cotton and rice. Among its differentials are the effective control of the complex of corn diseases (rust, cercosporiosis and white spot) and of wheat spots (yellow spot and brown spot), besides the rice blast and the angular spot in the bean.
