Top Seeds has been acquired by Mitsui & Co.

Top Seeds 2010 has been acquired by Mitsui & Co., Ltd. effective 1st May 2017. As of this date, Top Seeds 2010 is officially conducting its business as Top Seeds International.

Top Seeds began its activities in 2003 as a dynamic seed company that specializes in research, production and marketing of innovative, high quality hybrid vegetable varieties. Since then, they established many long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships with clients, focusing on developing outstanding products and service in key growing markets.


Mitsui is a Japanese trading house, which is committed to investing in long term growth and strong alliances with customers and business partners, and have a footprint in many agricultural related businesses around the world. Top Seeds is the first acquisition Mitsui has made in the vegetable seed business, acting as a major step for them to build a strong presence in the industry, starting by not only bringing financial stability to Top Seeds to strengthen the research, production and marketing activities, but their global presence in the agricultural industry to enhance the strengths Top Seeds has built over the years. This includes further enhancement in potential collaboration that Top Seeds has been and will be seeking together with other vegetable seed companies around the world.


The team, local subsidiaries, facilities and operations of Top Seeds 2010 will transfer in whole to Top Seeds International. Therefore, the company's activities will not be impacted or disrupted in any way.
