Acadian Plant Health launches biostimulants and Acadian BioSwitch Technology in India

CanadaAPH will be launching a fruit and vegetable biostimulant, Stimplex and broad acre crop biostimulants, AscoMax and Toggle. These launches will coincide with the introduction of Acadian BioSwitch technology to the Indian market. Designed for modern agriculture, BioSwitch is an advanced technology used to create innovative, sustainable plant health solutions and to power Stimplex, Toggle and AscoMax products. Acadian BioSwitch technology enhances natural processes within plants by switching on gene expression and production of active compounds that stimulate plant growth and protect against environmental stresses.
“For 35 years, we have been listening to the challenges that farmers are facing in growing their crops,” said President and CEO of ASL, Jean-Paul Deveau. “A key differentiating factor of Acadian BioSwitch technology is that it has a strong foundation of research and science; it’s supported by researchers from around the world and it’s a proven technology that works where it matters most – in the field.”
“The launch of this new technology will lay the foundation for our long-term growth strategy. A ‘seal of quality’, representing the technology, has been developed. Going forward, all crop inputs that contain this technology will bear the seal so that growers can easily identify Acadian BioSwitch-powered products,” said President of APH, Roger Tripathi. “Since Acadian BioSwitch is the ‘trigger technology’ – the system responsible for stimulating certain plant growth mechanisms – behind several trusted APH brands, growers can rest assured that any of our products will provide the same superior performance with every application, year after year.”
In addition to the product and platform launches, this month, APH is partnering with the Indian Council of Food and Agriculture (ICFA) and is represented on a National Round Table of CEOs on Eco Agriculture and Bio Products. Leading industry CEOs, government representatives, policy makers, experts, farmers’ organizations, scientists and extension agents will attend the event. The main goal of the Round Table is to form a Working Group on Eco Agriculture and Bio Products and create a memorandum on an action plan for biostimulant registration guidelines and for using these types of products to support the government’s initiative of doubling the farmer’s income by 2022 and improving soil health sustainably.
Acadian Plant Health is committed to developing markets for biostimulants and unique technologies such as Acadian BioSwitch. With this launch and the establishment of key partnerships, APH begins to develop strong, lasting relationships with growers, distribution partners and key contributors within India.
