Canada appoves four pesticides

The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has proposed to  grant full registration for the sale and use of Nufarm Pyraflufen-ethyl Technical and Pyro Herbicide (previously known as NUP6D 04 Herbicide), containing the technical grade active ingredient pyraflufen-ethyl, to be used for control of emerged broadleaf weeds prior to the emergence of wheat (spring, durum, and winter), barley, oats, rye (spring and fall), triticale, buckwheat, pearl millet, proso millet, canola, mustard, peas, beans, lentils, corn and soybean.

Meanwhile,the agency has granted full registration for the sale and use of Bio-Phoma Technical Herbicide, the manufacturing concentrate, Bio-Phoma Manufacturing Concentrate, as well as three associated end-use products: Wilson Lawn WeedOut Ready-To-Use Bio-Phoma Herbicide, Wilson Lawn WeedOut Spot Weeder Bio-Phoma Herbicide and Wilson Lawn WeedOut Bio-Phoma Commercial, containing the technical grade active ingredient Phoma macrostoma strain 94-44B, to control a broad spectrum of broadleaf weeds in established turfgrass, new seeding of grasses, in field grown nursery, ornamental plants and trees, and container grown ornamentals.

The agency is also granting full registration for the sale and use of GHA-360 Selective Herbicide Technical and the associated domestic end use products, Wilson Lawn WeedOut(1) Selective Weed Control, Wilson Lawn WeedOut(2) Selective Weed Control, Wilson Lawn WeedOut(1) Battery Powered, Wilson Lawn WeedOut(2) Battery Powered, Wilson Lawn WeedOut Concentrate 10X, Wilson Lawn WeedOut Concentrate 3X, Lawn WeedOut(1) Selective Weed Control Lawn WeedOut(2) Selective Weed Control and the commercial end use product WeedOut PRO, containing the technical grade active ingredient 4 chloroindole-3-acetic acid, to control small patches or individual broadleaf weeds as a spot treatment in turf.

In addition, the agency has also granted full registration for the sale and use of Sulfuryl Fluoride Gas Fumigant and ProFume Gas Fumigant, containing the technical grade active ingredient sulfuryl fluoride, to control stored product pests in cereal grain mills, associated storage facilities and food processing plants.
