Bayer Crop Science has launched in Brazil the portal AgroBayer (www.agrobayer.com.br), which gathers news, services, videos, recommendations and technical recommendations about several crops and portfolios.

According to the company, this initiative is "a new step that the company takes in terms of following the technological evolution in the field."

Bayer´s marketing manager, Lucas Perez, said that this new platform brings to the producer the best integrated solutions, helping the decision-making and the improvement of yields and profitability.

"One of our most important targets is to be the best business partner of the rural producer. Therefore, we are always seeking to anticipate the technological evolution in the field and offering the best products, services and partnerships."

The platform was configured in a way to make the communication complete and with synergy, according to Perez.

"We created the site thinking about the real necessities of the customer because it is more important to transmit the message the way the farmer wants than the message itself. Besides, we know that they are in the digital world – monitoring the crop by the cell phone, programing the applications by the computer – and we need to position ourselves according to the farmer expectations," Perez explained.

Among the different aspects of the website, is the possibility of making searches for products, and access Bayer´s applications (such as WeedScout, which automatically recognizes the weeds). Also, on the crops flaps it is possible to verify the phonological scale, which enables the farmer to follow of the evolution of crop cycles, such as germination, emergency, vegetable development, flowering, fructification, seed formation and maturation.

"Having this information on hand, the customer can choose the right product for any crop stage," the manager affirmed. The new portal is integrated with other Bayer sites, such as Rede AgroServices, De Primeira, Sem Dúvida and Bayer Against Caterpillars.

"We have exploited the digital world to be closer to the producer and have facilitated the decision-making process," Perez said in conclusion.
