Syngenta announced that Miravis™ Duo, a combination of Adepidyn™ (pydiflumetofen) and difenoconazole, has been approved for use on soybean for late cycle diseases by the regulatory authorities from Argentinean National Service of Health and agro-Food Quality (Senasa).

This is the first record for a product based on Adepidyn™, which is a new fungicide belonging to the chemical class of carboxamides.

Miravis Duo was introduced to the press and farmers a week ago in Buenos Aires.

The new molecule provides a change in the management of leaf spot disease and satisfactory control of powdery mildew. It is very effective in controlling Fusarium head blights and molds that cause severe damage to the crops.

Syngenta is currently developing a number of Adepidyn™-based products to address disease management challenges in soybeans, wheat, corn, canola, vegetables and specialty crops worldwide.

Miravis Duo's first sales are expected in the 2016/2017 soybean season in Argentina. Regulatory approvals are pending in several other markets.
