Eurofins Agroscience Services Earns GLP Accreditation in Brazil
Dec. 9, 2009
The Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) inspection of Eurofin’s Brazilian facility in Indaiatuba was successfully completed, making Eurofins do Brasil the first and only Latin American GLP-accredited organization in field, residue and GMO laboratory studies, according to a press release by Eurofins.
After receiving this Brazilian GLP accreditation, Eurofins do Brasil can perform GLP studies for national accreditations following national guidelines and for import tolerances following OECD/EPA guidelines, pending a GLP certificate expected to arrive by March 2010.
The facility will be accredited in field trials, residue analysis, and GMO and protein analysis.
According to Eurofins, the organization provides the most complete scope of services with its ability to cover field residue and efficacy studies along with seed testing. The seed testing services include GMO contamination and detection of presence of GMO traits in early breeding phases.
