AgroPages-US tackles siduron risks-Agricultural news

The US EPA is seeking risk reduction options for the herbicide, siduron, as part of the re-registration process. Siduron is used for the control of grass weeds in turf, including golf courses and residential lawns. The primary registrant is Gowan (Yuma, Arizona). The Agency has concerns over residential and occupational exposure, and ecological risks to aquatic invertebrates and non-vascular plants. Its preliminary risk assessments are open to public comment until February 19th 2008.
