SGS Executive Vice President for Governments and Institutions, Roger Kamgaing said: “The UK plays a leading role in international development and Bond sits at the heart of the organizations that make this happen. We are proud to have been accepted onto the Corporate Supporters Scheme and look forward to working ever more closely with Bond’s membership to help ensure the integrity and sustainability of their services.”

Bond membership signals SGS’s commitment to serving the sector with its suite of NGO and aid efficiency services.

What are SGS aid efficiency services?

SGS aid efficiency services provides global expertise and a local presence to achieve greater visibility, efficiency and accountability in the not-for-profit sector. These include donor and beneficiary governments, development agencies, public institutions, foundations, NGOs and grassroots organizations.

To operate these services, SGS leverages its reputation as the world’s premier quality and integrity brand, deploying staff in over 140 countries with the skill, expertise and local know-how to solve the problems faced by NGOs and donors.

SGS is entrusted to assist with assuring the quality and integrity of donated goods, from the point of procurement at the factory to the moment they reach the beneficiary. On behalf of donors, SGS verifies procurement against applicable standards, monitor implementations and validate progress reports by implementing partners.

SGS believes that accountability is not a goal, it is a process of continuous development. Therefore, the organization has developed the SGS NGO Benchmark that serves as the truly independent trust label for hundreds of NGOs and donors worldwide. With an average 10 percent improvement rate at every re-audit, the SGS NGO Benchmark has demonstrated its effectiveness to visibly monitor improvement of the organization on its accountability performance.
