Jiangsu Xinnong: projects incl. chlorpyrifos to pass environmental acceptance check

By Think Real - On 27 July, 2016, the Nantong Environmental Monitoring Station announced that Jiangsu Xinnong Chemical Co., Ltd. (Zhejiang Xinnong’s subsidiary)’s 10,000 t/a diethyl chlorothiophosphate and byproduct project, and 3,300 t/a chlorpyrifos project would be passed in environmental acceptance check.
Jiangsu Xinnong invested USD7.7 million into the 2 projects, of which USD4.5 million was for environmental protection. Specifically,
1. 10,000 t/a diethyl chlorothiophosphate and byproduct project (2nd phase of its 20,000 t/a diethyl chlorothiophosphate project examined and passed for construction in 2008): start-up in March 2014 and trial production in February 2015.
2. 3,300 t/a chlorpyrifos project (2nd phase of its 10,000 t/a chlorpyrifos and 2,000 t/a Zn thiazole project examined and passed for construction in 2010): start-up in September 2013 and trial production in December 2014.
