UPL Ltd has informed Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) that the Hon’ble High Court of Gujarat at Ahmedabad vide its order dated June 23, 2016 has sanctioned the scheme of amalgamation of Advanta Limited and UPL Limited and their respective shareholders and creditors. The Scheme has become effective on July 20, 2016, being the date of filling the form INC-28 with the Registrar of Companies.

In November last year, UPL announced that merger of the group's seed firm Advanta with itself as part of its strategy to provide all agri-solutions through one single entity and enhance shareholder value.
