Dow AgroSciences has announced that it has obtained a label extension of one of its most efficient technologies for insect control, the Delegate (spinetoram (a mixture of spinetoram-J and spinetoram-L (250 g ai/kg)). The insecticide has its registration amplified to cover 44 crops and 32 different pests in Brazil.

According to the manufacturer, it is one of the most “sustainable green technologies in the world, recognized by its high shock power and wide spectrum for insect control, belonging to an exclusive chemical group (Spinosyns) and ideal for the rotation of assets and resistance management.”

“Delegate is in the market for at least over a year and already has recognized efficiency and approved by who has used in the field. With the extension of the label, a universe of protection multicombinations is available to the farmer as a big ally, due to its wide spectrum control acting with different plagues, therefore, the farmer can reduce the number of applications and also the volume of products used increasing the safety and profitability of all the productive chain,” explains André Baptista, Marketing Manager of Fruits and Vegetables at Dow AgroSciences.

With the extension, one of the major points is the number of possible combinations, since there are few products with registration in the market. Below are all the crops covered by Delegate:

- Pumpkin, zucchini, acerola, garlic, plum, blackberry, olive

- Potato, Sweet Potato, yacon potato, eggplant, beet,

- Cará, onion, shallot, chayote, citrus, chrysanthemum

- Raspberry

- Ginger

- Yam

- Apple, manioc, arracacha, quince, gherkin, watermelon, melon, blueberry, strawberry

- Turnip, nectarine, loquat

- Cucumber, pear, peach, pepper, chili, cherry

- Okra

- Radish

- Red mombin

- Tomato

A shorter period of grace and an exclusive action mechanism are the highlights with extended residual effect with high selectivity. It was the Green Chemistry Award, recognized by the U.S. EPA for being one of the most innovative and sustainable green technologies.
