Aofeng completed 1000 ton/year bacillus subtilis production line

Shandong Aofeng Biotechnology Company's 1,000 ton/year production line for Bacillus subtilis powder was completed and put into operation on May 20. The product contains more than 800 billion viable organisms. Along with it, Aofeng’s production line for Bacillus subtilis bacterial fertilizer, with a capacity of 50,000 tons/year, has also started operations. These projects provide another high-tech solution for the biopesticide and biological bacterial fertilizer industry in China. 

Bacillus subtilis is a multifunctional microbial strain with a unique mode of action that can be used as a biopesticide and bacterial fertilizer. Aofeng’s microbial agent consists of Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, and other microorganisms, with more than 500 million viable organisms per gram. The product has high purity and efficiency and has been approved for a state patent. Field trials indicated the microbial agent could facilitate continuous cropping, dissolving K and P and fixing N, thus improving crop quality while using 30% less fertilizer.  

Aofeng’s general manager Huaiyin Qi said the company already had the ability to produce and market Bacillus subtilis technical and formulations, with its formulation capacity reaching 1,000 tons/year. Its Bacillus subtilis powder technical concentrates features 200 billion viable organisms per gram, with the highest concentrates reaching up to 800 billion per gram. The liquid formulation commonly contains 3 billion organisms per gram, with the highest reaching 20 billion per gram. All their product concentrations can be tailored to the customers' needs.
