The Group 7 fungicide provides action against botrytis gray mold in strawberries and Sclerotinia drop in lettuce - both serious diseases which can devastate yields.
According to Summit Agro USA, KENJA’s chemistry – the actual molecule – is different. KENJA is a 4th generation SDHI fungicide that not only provides good in-season disease protection but its unique chemistry helps to minimize SDHI resistance potential.
When applied in strawberry for botrytis control as a last spray before harvest, the company says KENJA can add days to post-harvest shelf life. This can allow growers to get more high quality fruit to market.
KENJA is also active on other key strawberry diseases, including powdery mildew and anthracnose.
In direct seeded and transplanted lettuce, KENJA can provide highly effective control of Sclerotinia drop (Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and Sclerotinia minor) and can easily mesh with current disease management programs.
The product label provides specific use instructions for both crops.
Summit Agro USA says strawberry and lettuce growers face tough challenges – not just up to harvest, but all the way to market. This new fungicide can add value including higher quality and sales while managing resistance and safety.
KENJA fungicide is sold exclusively through Tenkoz member companies and Helena Chemical Company. It’s distributed in the U.S. by Summit Agro USA LLC.
