Inhance Technologies, a leader in barrier and surface modification technologies for plastics, will commence manufacturing operations in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil in the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Inhance Technologies’ Fluoro-Seal Process™ has been trusted for over 35 years as the leading plastics barrier technology for markets including Packaging for Agrochemical and Consumer Products, as well as Automotive and off-road Fuel Tanks, Building & Construction, Industrial and Healthcare applications.

The initial focus of the Brazil-based Inhance will be Ag Chemical Packaging, though Inhance expects to grow in its other core markets quickly. “Brazil is a world leader in the use and recycling of agricultural chemical packaging. While current coextruded barrier packaging is incinerated or converted to low value products, the Fluoro-Seal Process™ allows barrier packaging to be recycled to new barrier packages. Not only is this better for the environment, but it’s better for the bottom line of everyone in the supply chain,” said Jad Darsey, Agro Chemical Market Manager with Inhance.

“Construction of the Inhance facility in Jundiai is nearly complete,” notes Wilson Corassin, General Manager of Inhance – Brazil. “We look forward to serving the plastic processors of Brazil, along with the Agricultural Chemical OEMs and our other core markets. Our cost-effective processes provide an excellent alternative to complex co-extruded bottles, eliminating barrier inconsistencies and delamination concerns while leaving the package completely recyclable as the base material. The treatment is tailored to provide uniform barrier coverage, regardless of shape, or size of container.”

“We’ve been working with many Inhance customers in Brazil for the last year and have production reservations for the 2016 season. Based on the size of the Brazilian market and the need for Inhance’s technologies, we expect to be very busy,” added Corassin.
