RiceTec launches LexusCL rice seed with high tolerance to rice blast

RiceTec has launched recently in the Brazilian market the rice seed LexucCL, which has high tolerance to rice blast. According to the company, which acts on research, development, production and commercialization of rice seeds in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and United States, the new promises to surprise the market.

"This product has been developed by our technicians for at least five years. We can guarantee that LexusCL will bring flexibility to producers because of its plasticity of use in different systems of crop and greater versatility of destination of its grains,” explains agronomist Leandro Pasqualli, marketing director of RiceTec.

"It is a differentiated product, that can be seeded in line, on dry soil or pre-germinated system. Other benefit is that it can be for the market of white rice or parboiled rice. LexusCL will find the necessities of rice growers, which is to gain yields, lower use of fungicides to control diseases and deliver a high quality product in the industry,” guarantees Pasqualli.

According to the director, there are reservations of seeds for the next seeds from producers as well as the processing industries that prioritize grains. It will be one of major RiceTec products in the coming years.
