HELM AGRO US is expanding the availability of its Zone herbicide for broadleaf weed control in soybeans. Zone is a premix of sulfentrazone and chlorimuron ethyl, two proven active ingredients with a long history of success in controlling both small- and large-seeded broadleaf weeds.

“Although Zone was registered in 2015, we received the registration rather late in the selling season,” noted Jan Stechmann, president of HELM AGRO US.  “So this year will be the first growing season where America’s soybean growers have full access to the product.”

Zone offers soybean growers control of problematic weeds such as pigweeds, waterhemp, lambsquarters and marestail.  Its use patterns include fall applications, early pre-plant, pre-plant burndown and pre-emergence timings in no-till, minimum till and conventional tillage systems.  And with its multiple sites of action, Zone offers “built-in” weed resistance management.

“With its long-lasting residual control, Zone is the perfect choice for fall applications to control winter annual broadleaf weeds for a cleaner, earlier start in the spring,” added Stechmann.  “Plus, if offers excellent residual control when tank-mixed with burndown herbicides such as glyphosate, Helmquat® 3SL (paraquat), glufosinate and 2,4-D LVE.”

Zone contains 0.62 pound of sulfentrazone and 0.08 pound of chlorimuron ethyl per pound of product and comes in 2 X 10-pound cases, with 36 cases per pallet.
