Simbiose presents to the market NemaControl, a technology developed in Brazil for the control of phytopathogenic nematodes. The product is formulated through the Bacillus amyloliquefaciens bacteria and will be shown at the Coopavel Rural Show 2016, in Cascavel, state of Paraná.

When inoculated at the seed or applied via the furrow, feeding itself from root exudates. The bacteria produces several toxins and antibiotics that will be released in the soil, forming a protective case around the root system. Besides, it fosters the plant growth thanks to the characteristic synthesize organic molecules with hormonal effect (auxin, gibberellin and cytokinin).

"The NemaControl technology developed by Simbiose is one of the most important already made in the past period in Latin America, because it is a biological solution and extremely efficient in combating Pratylenchus. This nematode is the major threat to yields and viability of the top crops in Latin America. Simbiose, with this another technology, shows the market that it is the leader on sustainable biotechnology,” affirms the director of the company, Marcelo de Godoy Oliveira.

Oliveira highlights that Simbiose is one of the biggest genuinely national productions based on fungi and native bacteria of the Brazilian soil. In order to do so, the company invested on the expansion of its headquarters, located in Cruz Alta (Rio Grande do Sul) for a structure with over 8,900 m² of constructed area.
