SynTech reorganizes zonally to manage expansion in Latin Americaqrcode

SynTech is strengthening its Latin America activities, to provide additional agrochemicals and seeds capabilities, and increasing levels of customer satisfaction, in order to meet its ambitious 2020 growth targets. This will involve the Company expanding Laboratory, Field, Greenhouse services, including Study Directorship and Project Management in GLP and GEP (Bio-efficacy), Seeds/Traits and Ecotoxicology (including Pollinators).

To facilitate management of this service expansion, and the diversity of crops and trials demands in the Region, it has been divided into five operating Zones:

Zone 1
comprises Brazil

Key crops are: Corn, Soybean, Sunflower, Wheat, Coffee, Cotton, Sugarcane, Citrus, Pasture, Tomato, Potato, Beans, Melon, Watermelon, Mango, Banana, Pome and Stone fruit, Rice, Vegetables, Coconut, Pineapple, Grapes and Strawberries.

The Zone is managed from the SynTech Brazil office (Piracicaba, Sao Paulo). It has three satellites sites and exclusive partners covering key agricultural regions in the country.

Zone II

comprises Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay

Key crops are: Soybean, Corn, Wheat, Sorghum Sunflower Canola (Oilseed rape), Pasture, Cotton, Rice, Citrus, Grapes, Pome and Stone Fruit, Vegetables, Tobacco and Sugar Cane.

The Zone is managed from the SynTech Argentina office (Victoria, Entre Rios), which includes the Regional Regulatory office. The company has a GLP certificate for all of Argentina, including its three satellite sites (Victoria, Mandoza, and Alto Valley).

Zone III

comprises Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela.

Key crops are: Grapes, Citrus, Kiwi Fruit, Avocado, Pome and Stone Fruit, Berries, Walnuts, Corn, Vegetables, Wheat, Canola (Oilseed rape), Mango, Rice, Asparagus, Sugarcane, Paprika, Peppers, Coffee, Plantain, Cacao, Banana, Yuca (mandioca), Potatoes, Beans, and Cotton.

The Zone is managed from the SynTech Chile (Santiago) office.

Zone IV

comprises Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador and the Caribbean.

Key crops are: Banana, Pineapple, Coffee, Melon, Watermelon, Sugarcane, Rice and Vegetables.

The Zone is managed from the SynTech Costa Rica office (San Jose).

Zone V

comprises Mexico.

Key crops are: Coffee, Avocado, Banana, Corn, Vegetables, Citrus, Pineapple, Mango, Tomato, Chili and Bell Pepper, Berries, Potato, Wheat, Beans, Sorghum, Barley and Grapes.

Mexico is now included in the SynTech North America region, managed from the SynTech HQ in Stilwell, Kansas, with close working between the USA and Mexican teams.

Overall Regional Administration is currently coordinated from SynTech’s Montevideo, Uruguay office. SynTech is planning to establish a Latin America HQ by end 2nd Q of 2016.
