KALO, Inc., a supplier of specialty chemicals and seed care products for agriculture and turf specialty products, announced the appointment of Brett Henson as Market Segment Manager, Seed Care Products.

“In his new capacity, Brett will be responsible for supporting existing sales, coordinating efforts, preparing marketing and sales strategy, and training territory and account managers while focusing on key accounts, identifying new distributors and investigating new product opportunities and development,” stated Chuck Champion, President of KALO, Inc.  “While we expect him to be instrumental in building our seed care business, Brett also will continue to manage key adjuvant and professional turf accounts he has built during his time at KALO."

“I’m very excited about focusing my energies towards KALO’s seed care business,” noted Henson.  “Having the good fortune of learning from some of the great minds in this industry, I have an excellent comprehension of market trends in the seed care market.  KALO is a first-class organization with a growing line of top-quality products that solve real problems, and I look forward to helping our company become an even greater force in the seed care industry in the years to come.”

Henson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture/Turfgrass Science at Iowa State University and, prior his move to Kansas City, he gained valuable experience as an assistant and superintendent with Geneva National Golf Club in Lake Geneva, WI, Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, GA, and Druid Hills Golf Club in Atlanta.  Henson is a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) and serves as KALO’s delegate for the Council of Producers & Distributors of Agrotechnology (CDPA), all while maintaining turf and structural pest control licenses in the states of Kansas and Missouri.
