New Zealand to import fungicide Esteem
New Zealand EPA consults on fungicide Esteem

The New Zealand Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) has scheduled a hearing for an application to import for release the fungicide Esteem, which contains the new active ingredient Polyoxin D zinc salt. The hearing will be held on 9 December 2015.

Esteem is a horticultural fungicide formulation intended to be used to control fungal disease in apples and grapes and be applied by ground-based, low-volume spray or high-volume broadcast spray. The application, from Kaken Pharmaceutical Co, was publicly notified because it contains a new active ingredient.
