Multinational Nidera announced that it will build a new unit at the Port of Quequén, located in the south of the Buenos Aires province. It is a facility of a factory which, according to the company, will produce “balanced food” following the products offered in the country, which include hybrid varieties as well as agricultural inputs.

Nidera will invest US$ 5 million for the construction of the buildings and the increase of the capacity of the terminal located to the right of the Quequén port, where they obtained an expansion of the concession for 20 years. “The new Nidera project will allow us to diversify the cargo,” commemorated the president of Consortium Management of the Port, Mario Goicoechea.

According to him, the goal is to industrialize the port of Quequén to transport products with higher added value such as agricultural inputs – not just grains and commodities. “The companies are directing the business in the sense to industrialize the seeds. We are achieving our goal of making the development dynamic,” said Goicoechea.

The agreement was signed by Nidera's Institutional Relations Director, Hernán Maurette, and the local manager, Oscar Morán. The project was presented and received the support from the governor of the Buenos Aires province, Daniel Scioli.
