Mahindra opens Crop Care Formulation Plant at Ankleshwar, India

Dr. Pawan Goenka, Executive Director and Group President – AFS and Member of the Group Executive Board inaugurated the Crop Care Formulation Plant at Ankleshwar, Gujarat on the 17th October 2015 in the presence of Mr. Ashok Sharma, President and Chief Executive Agri, Africa & South Asia Operations, Member of the Group Executive Board and Mr. Vikram Puri, Vice President, Mahindra Agri Business. Also present on the occasion were Crop Care distributors from different sates, key suppliers and business associates.
The formulation plant is a state-of-the-art facility built to produce high quality agro protection chemicals. The plant also has a facility to produce different kinds of formulations like EC, SC and WP for Insecticides, Fungicides and Herbicides. A special mention must be made of employees from CME, Mahindra Susten, different vendors, and Asset Management departments who played a very crucial role in building this world class state of art Crop Care Formulation Plant.
Addressing the gathering Dr Goenka said that this formulation plant will add value to Indian farmers by providing quality products and will fulfil Mahindra Agribusiness’s vision of “Delivering Farm Tech Prosperity”. Also speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ashok Sharma said that the quality products produced from this plant will impact 4 lac farmers by protecting their crops and increasing yields and quality of produce which will help them to Rise. He also said that with the various initiatives of Mahindra Agribusiness like Grape Exports, Potato Seeds, Seeds, Oils and Pluses, Mahindra is fulfilling its promise of “Delivering Farm Tech Prosperity” by becoming a complete value chain player. There was interactive session during which many suppliers expressed pride on being associated with the Mahindra Crop Care and provided valuable feedback & suggestions for growth of the business.
