AgroPages-EU approves fructose as basic substance-Agricultural news

EU has approved fructose as a basic substance under the EU agrochemical registration Directive (1107/2009). The approval is effective from October 1st 2015, and has no expiry date. Fructose is only used as an elicitor of the crop's natural defence mechanisms.

On 12 March 2014, EU received an application from the Institut Technique de l’ Agriculture Biologique (ITAB) for approval of fructose as a basic substance for plant protection.
