Nufarm announced in Brazil that the company had just obtained the registration extension of its three major products, Tenaz, Kaiso, and Dimax, for use on minor crops. The release would benefit Brazilian growers of fruits, vegetables, roots, tubers, and greenery - which have a serious problem of lack of specific agrochemicals for those crops.

Dimax 480 SC (Diflubenzuron) is a physiological insecticide and inhibitor of chitin biosynthesis. The product was already indicated for the control of plagues on soybeans and cotton. Kaiso 250 CS (Lambda-cyhalothrin) is employed with efficiency to control insects.

Tenaz 250 SC (Flutriafol) is a systemic fungicide, belonging to triazole chemical group, used on spraying to control diseases on aerial parts of crop such as cotton, banana, potato, coffee, kidney bean, papaya, soybeans, and tomato.

According to Nufarm, the release is a result of the work of over one year and a half. It was made possible by the Normative Instruction No. 01/2010/2014, which aimed to ease the registration of phytosanitary products for Minor Crops.

The company affirms that it has invested over R$ 1 million (US$ 320,500) to obtain these use extensions. With this focus, Nufarm has became leader in Brazil in the inclusion of targets. There were over 100 plagues and registered diseases for over 50 different minor crops.
