AgroPages-Canada OKs Valent's Metlock fungicide-Agricultural news

The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has granted the full registration of Sumitomo Chemical subsidiary Valent USA Corporation's Metlock fungicide, containing the technical grade active ingredient metconazole, for early season control or suppression of seed- and soil-borne fungal pathogens in canola, rapeseed, carinata, corn and wheat. The public comments have been opened until June1, 2015.

Metconazole is a triazole fungicide (demthylation-inhibiting fungicide) that inhibits sterol biosynthesis and is currently registered for foliar uses. Metlock Fungicide is a seed treatment fungicide for broad spectrum control of early-season diseases.
