AgroPages-EU extends approval periods for 14 ais-Agricultural news

The European Commission has confirmed that existing approval periods for 14 active ingredients have been extended to 31 July 2018. They are: herbicides beflubutamid, metribuzin and glufosinate;fungicides captan, propamocarb ,dimethomorph and folpet; insecticides dimethoate, fipronil, ethoprophos, formetanate, methiocarb, phosmet and pirimiphos-methyl. The move is to allow sufficient time to complete EU procedures for renewing the authorisations.

According to existing approval periods, the active substance beflubutamid will expire on 30 November 2017 and others will expire on 30 September 2017.
