Simplot launched Eclipse-N nitrogen stabilizer

Simplot Grower Solutions has added Eclipse-N, a powerful nitrogen stabilizer, to their lineup of Plant Health Technologies products, according to a company news release.

Typical surface-applied nitrogen fertilizers are unstable and subject to volatilization until fully incorporated into the soil profile by rainfall, irrigation, or mechanical incorporation. Up to 40% of nitrogen can be lost after application – affecting yield and quality.

Eclipse-N is a superior nitrogen stabilizer that protects growers’ fertilizer investments. By using OmniPierce Technology, Eclipse-N coats and protects more nitrogen, increasing nitrogen efficiency and decreasing loss due to volatilization. This benefit is even seen under tough field conditions, when warmer temperatures or moisture may cause significant nitrogen loss with standard applications.

“Nitrogen volatilization is a significant problem, causing fertilizer to be lost before being taken up by the plant.
