US EPA to greenlight herbicide TMGMV U2

The US EPA has amended the temporary tolerance exemption for tobacco mild green mosaic tobamovirus strain U2 (TMGMV U2) to a permanent exemption in or on all crop (groups 17 and 18) when applied as a post-emergent herbicide. The agency has approved this ais’ end-use product SolviNix LC for the control of tropical soda apples in pastures and wooded areas that are fenced to contain grazing animals. The public comment is open until February 17th 2015.
