AgroPages-Tepraloxydim EU approval to expire in 2015-Agricultural news

EU is to restore the expiry date for the herbicide tepraloxydim to the original date of May 31st 2015, following the sole applicant of this ais not to further pursue its renewal. BASF received EU approval of this ais in 2005. In 2013, EU postponed the expiry date to Julyl 31st 2017 to allow sufficient time for renewal procedure. The European Commission’s proposal was voted positively EU Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health (SCFCAH), and requires formal publication before entering into force.
