Engage Agro’s Manipulator PGR registered in Canada

Engage Agro announced that MANIPULATOR® plant growth regulator (PGR) was registered in Canada for use and sale on spring and winter wheat. Product will be available for the 2015 growing season.
"MANIPULATOR is one of the most exciting things to happen to wheat growers in Canada in years", says Tom Tregunno, Product Manager for MANIPULATOR. "As a formally registered PGR, MANIPULATOR is especially well-suited to Canadian weather conditions, working to shorten straw, thereby producing stronger plants with higher yields".
"We have been investing in this project for 4 years", says Ray Chyc, President of Engage Agro, "and we are extremely excited to bring this product to the Canadian wheat grower. With over 200 trials across Canada over 4 years, growers are seeing an average height reduction of 15% accompanied by average yield increases of 10%, with yield increases ranging from 0 – 20%. Those are great paybacks for the farmer".
"Our grower cooperators have been very supportive of our efforts over the last 4 years", says Tom Tregunno. "The interest from growers to include MANIPULATOR in their production practices moving into 2015 is extremely high".
MANIPULATOR will be available for the 2015 growing season. Engage Agro is working to determine the amount of product to produce given the high interest and would be open to receiving forecasts from growers directly. Engage will also have a full set of trial results available soon.
