"Regarding the farm business, Argentina continues to be a good country to do business" said Alejandro Golfari, general manager of Chemotecnica SA, company headquartered in the South American country, which faces difficulties on the relationship between the government and the rural sector. He gave an exclusive interview to Agropages.com during the seventh Brasil Agrochem Show held in São Paulo.

"We continue to be the third largest producer of soybeans. We have endless hectares of corn, and the farmer tends to plant every year. The market amount to US$ 2.5 billion, which is still rising. The reality is that the world cannot have the luxury to give up Argentina's production of grains or cereal", affirmed.

"Next year, it is likely that the country goes to another political direction, a very different way from the current one. The presidential candidates have different vision on Agriculture. Even the current government knows that the farm business is the main generator of revenues for the country. Nearly 37% of the external sales are from agriculture. It is known that agriculture is the economic engine. It is likely that the candidates known that this is the fastest way to have economic return", concluded by him.
