Kleffmann: Global crop protection market to exceed $60 billion in 2014

The global market for Crop Protection chemicals, in terms of value at ex-manufacturer level is estimated at a little over $57,250 million in the harvest year 2013 and can be expected to surpass the $ 60 billion mark in harvest year 2014. This is the outcome of an analysis carried out by Kleffmann Group in conjunction with the launch of its new product amis® AgriGlobe®.
amis® AgriGlobe® combines a comprehensive consolidated Agrochemical and Seed Database reference with additional global market consulting services across multiple agricultural sectors and has been designed by Kleffmann Group to meet the ever changing needs of their clients for better understanding agricultural markets.
"This estimation is predominately based on the information we collate out of Kleffmann Group’s amis® farmer-based panel data, which are generated in detailed interviews with farmers. More than 50% of the data behind amis® AgriGlobe® are currently dependent upon our farmer input panels. To complement this wealth of data, additional value has been created by drawing on information that was retrieved from interviewing distributors in emerging markets. The source of the emerging market data are Kleffmann amis®Trend studies, which provide clients with significant insights into the structure and dynamics of these rapidly developing new markets.
