China's four-month agchem export up 23% in 2014

China imported 9,200 tons of pesticides with value of $ 91 million in April 2014, according to the data released by the Chinese General Administration of Customs. In April, pesticide export reached 131,900 tons and $ 461 million in volume and value terms respectively. 

From Jan to Apr, China’s total import pesticides grew 16.7% to 36,000 tons, with value increasing 5.6% to $ 312 million. Export continued the substantial up-trend with volume up 15.3% to 450,000 tons and value up 23.2% to $ 1.557 billion, way exceeding the figures last year.

 From Jan to Apr, herbicide import volume and value recorded double digit increase, with 17.2% up in volume to reach 13,000 tons and value at $ 85 million. The volume of insecticide import grew 11.3% to 4,000 tons but import value witnessed 9.0% decrease to $ 73 million. Fungicide imported 12,000 tons, with a growth of 12.8% and value up 9.2% to $ 126 million.

From Jan to Apr, both herbicide’s and insecticide’s export volume and value sustained substantial increase. Herbicide export grew 16.9% and 28.5% in volume and value terms. Insecticide exported 77,000 tons in the period and value lifted 16.7% to $ 311 million. Fungicide maintained relatively small growth with volume increasing by 1.9% and value up 5.0%.
