Vilmorin & Cie SA closes full takeover of Seed Asia based in Bangkok, Thailand. Seed Asia specializes in creation, production and distribution of hybrid tropical corn. Seed Asia, with headcount of more than 80, has sales network of over 200 distributors across South East Asia.Seed Asia 2013 sales $9 million.Vilmorin & Cie thus gains access also to genetic resources of tropical corn, well-suited to other zones including India, Brazil, southern China and Africa.
