Dupont has been granted registration approval for its 94% cyantraniliprole technical and formulated product 10% cyantraniliprole from Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA).  As per Chinese registration watch, Dupont is the first and only company approved for cyantraniliprole technical.

Cyantraniliprole (Brand name Cyazypyr®) was the second generation of ryanodine receptor inhibitor pesticide developed jointly by Dupont and Syngenta. Cyantraniliprole depletes intracellular calcium stores and causes insects muscle paralysis and death, with no cross-resistance to other classes of insecticides. Products based on the active ingredient are effective on the larval stages of lepidopteran insects, and also on thrips, aphids, and some other insect pests including some coleopterans and dipterans.

Dupont has conducted test for cyantraniliprole registration in several markets around the world. In 2012, Cyantraniliprole was launched in Argentina, followed by temporary registration approval in China. Dupont introduced a vegetable insecticide contains 10% Cyantraniliprole in China in May, 2013.
