AgroPages-US approval for Arysta's burndown herbicide-Agricultural news

Arysta LifeScience has received US approval for the herbicide, Pre-Pare (flucarbazone-sodium), for burndown pre-planting use on winter and spring wheat. It is recommended for use at 0.3 oz/acre (21 g/ha) along with standard glyphosate treatments. Pre-Pare extends the weed control of glyphosate by providing residual control of grass and broadleaf weeds, Arysta points out. The company has been marketing the active ingredient as Everest for in-crop use since its acquisition from Bayer CropScience in 2002.
