FMC expands sugarcane portfolio and releases Nemix C in Brazilqrcode

The sugar industry has another ally in profitability and protection of its plantations. FMC Agricultural Solutions, the leader in the sugarcane market, released the biological solution Nemix C, an inoculant, highly concentrated, imposing a biofilm around the root, increasing protection and health of the plant as a living barrier that grows with the root.
 
FMC Sugarcane Marketing Manager, Roberto Puzzo, explains the advantages of the new technology. "With Nemix C, smart Bacilli protect and help the development of the roots, creating a physical and a chemical barrier to the root, besides optimize the uptake of water and nutrients. It works as a living protection for sugarcane field that complements our portfolio and integrates the sugarcane handling."

Puzzo highlights the importance of the product to market. "We want to facilitate the every-day of the farmer, providing a complete handling solution with efficient products that help increasing the profitability and productivity in the field. The product will be available for sale throughout the country still in 2013,"says the Puzzo.

The strategic alliance provides a powerful basis for FMC and Chr. Hansen that aim to compete in the billionaire market of biological cultivation protection. Under the agreement, Chr. Hansen will offer its experience in scouting, selecting, formulating, besides experience in developing and product registration, as well as global market access. The collaboration between the two companies will allow this Brazilian release of Nemix®C product for use in sugarcane, focusing on the largest market of sugarcane in the world, with 9 million hectares.
