AgroPages-EU approves powdered corn cob as biocidal active ingredient-Agricultural news

The European Commission has published its decision to add powdered corn cob to Annex 1, the list of approved active substances, and Annex 1A, the list of low risk actives, of the biocidal products Directive. The substance has been evaluated for use in rodenticides.

Member states must adopt and publish all necessary legalities by 31 January 2014, and apply the directive’s provisions from 1 February 2015. The inclusion is for ten years – due to expire on 31 January 2025.
